The Escort Radar Detector 8500 x50 claims to be “the most advanced and sophisticated detector ever!”

The 8500 can detect all radar bands currently used in North America for speed detection These include X, K and Ka bands. The unit als features detection diodes for detecting lasers. The Escort Radar Detector also has a ZR3 laser jamming system which gives powerful protection from laser detection. It also has the technology to dectect pop radar.

When a radar is detected an audio alerts warns you with a beep. The tone get louder as you get closer to a signal which gives you plenty of time to slow down The systems seems works within in about a 2 mile range which is quiet good. The X50 does give off quiet a few false X band alerts in the city but with the mute button in easy reach this minor problem is fixed really fast and easily.
